Loving Well

So often we can get focused on doing rather than being. We are always looking for what we are supposed to do for God rather than being with Him. It’s almost as if we accept grace but also feel the need to earn His love. We often spend time trying to figure out our “calling” or we have a word spoken over ya about our “gift” and we spend all of our time trying to function in that gift. We need to shift away from the place of doing and into a place of being in love with Him. When we are so enraptured by who He is and we spend our time with that as our focus He is able to pour through us in ways we could never imagine. Life Springs Forward

Have you ever had a season where you sense that God has something for your life that is so different from your current path that it seems like an impossibility? A time when your spirit stirs with the new but your living in the current circumstances and they don't line up with what you are sensing? It seems like I have many people in my life, myself included, that are in this season now. Its not that the current circumstances are bad and we are longing for them to get better. Rather that what we sense God stirring in our hearts is simply different. Its a calling to something more that stirs in our spirits. I think sometimes God gives us this sense of what is to come to stretch our trust and w

Celebrating St Patrick

Le’ Fhe’ile Padraig Sona Dhuit! (Happy St. Patrick's Day) Most people do not know the true reason we should be celebrating St. Patrick. Its not because he drove the snakes out of Ireland, if you have ever been you would see the cold climate and rocky ground make it unsuitable for reptiles. Its not because he was a native son who did good things. Patrick was born in 385 in Roman Britannia in the modern-day town of Dumbarton, Scotland I mark St. Patrick’s day not because it’s fun, or because of legends, my heritage, or my travels to Ireland but because he was an example of a life laid down for others and what God is able to do when we choose to follow Him unreservedly. At the age of 16 Patrick

Specifically I have been revisiting my own personal valley of dry bones. Those things that God spoke to my heart that I have allowed to become dried up and discarded. As humans we often allow disappointment and doubt to creep into our hearts and lives and like a slithering snake it begins to choke off our source of faith. It happens when we don't see the fulfillment of a word or promise we feel that God has spoken to us. The enemy whispers that we were wrong, we didn't really hear God, or that God some how is displease

Ever Present Help

This past week was one of definite challenges. I lost a friend suddenly as she went home to be with Jesus. There were several crisis at work that added stress and hectic juggling of workloads, appointments and duties. I came home Thursday evening with a splitting headache and just an overwhelmed spirit. As I lay down that night I spent some time talking with the Lord and just letting Him renew my spirit. I woke the next morning feeling much more able to handle all the situations at work. I headed into the office later than normal and because of this I actually got to see the sunrise. Normally its dark when I go to the office and dark when I come home. I was astounded by the gorgeous display
