One Moment

I have found myself lately talking to several people who are facing challenges or have loved ones that are and it seems like a long journey to the breakthrough. It started me thinking and I realized our perception of a path is generally not accurate. We can be a very impatient people wanting certain things to move swiftly when the breakthrough we need may happen along the road and not at the end of it. Other times we feel like we must trudge along a road for what seems an unbearable time but truth be told God wants to move quickly. Why do we rely on our perception of a situation rather than seek God for His method? Surely if we know that our breakthrough is going to come as we journey the ro

This Is My Declaration!

When God first created the world He did it by speaking. Genesis 1:3 shows the first declaration spoken when God said “Let there be light”. A decree or declaration is defined a a noun meaning an official order issued by a legal authority or a verb meaning to order something by decree. So when God spoke and said let there be light He was issuing an order based on His authority. If we skip to the end of Genesis chapter one we see that God decrees that we should be made in His image. I don’t believe this had anything to do with physical likeness but rather that we are made in His likeness having power and authority through Jesus. How do we engage with the likeness that God has designed in us?

We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.” Proverbs‬ ‭18:21‬ ‭states that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” So often we can go through our days not realizing

The Wave of His Presence

Have you ever considered the underwater view of a wave? When we imagine a wave we instantly think of what we see happening on the surface but there is more than just a topside view. God challenged me recently with this thought. What does a wave look like from underneath? He then spoke and said, “Ask for my perspective; you think because you have seen a wave before that you know what to expect and therefore you don’t consult me. “ Over and over in Scripture we see examples of people “inquiring of the Lord”. Moses,David, Elijah and more. Why so many examples? Because He knew we are creatures of comfort and we would need to be reminded. We so often hear direction or a word that is the tip of
