Ecclesia - is a group of people brought together to exercise governmental authority.
ECCLESIA
The English word "ecclesia" according to Strong's Concordance means “the called-out." It is derived from the Greek words ek meaning out and Kaleo meaning to call. Thus, an ecclesia is a group or body of individuals "called-out" for a particular purpose.
God has called those who have accepted the gift of salvation to be His ambassadors in the earth. He has equipped us with everything we need to represent Him and to extend His love. The more I see reported in the news the more this message stirs in my spirit. We are called to be His ecclesia! We are brought together with His Holy Spirit to impact the world around us. Evil can only thrive when we do nothing. It is time we get about our Father’s business.
“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
II Chronicles 7:14 NKJV
I often hear this passage shared where the emphasis falls on us being His people but when I read this passage in my spirit the emphasis falls on the first word, “if”. Why is it we tend to overlook this most important step? It’s not that God is undecided in what He wants to do but rather that God has designed us to partner with Him. He is willing to move in our world but the ecclesia must take its place and exercise the spiritual authority He has given us. We are called to usher in His love and kingdom but only if we act. Are you watching the news or local events and shaking your head with despair? Don’t believe the emotional lie that the world is out of control and there is nothing we can do. The truth from the Bible is that “IF” we humble ourselves and pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways THEN He WILL hear from heaven and He WILL heal our land. There is a world full of people lost, despairing and grasping for anything that they think will help them. We have what they are seeking.
Ecclesia, let’s rise up and take our place as His ambassadors and let’s see our land healed.
