Be A Beacon

“And he shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; for the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭20:3-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This verse really bolstered my spirit this morning. I am on the verge, really the beginnings, of a big battle. It’s amazing how a cancer diagnose can knock the stuffing out of you for a bit but praise God I know He is with me. My heart does not grow faint and I am not terrified because I know that my hope is in Him. My prayer is that as I take each step I will be a beacon of His love to everyone I encounter.

Even in the dark times God has an assignment for us. I have always been one to pray and war for people and now I am finding out what it is like to receive that. Also, I know that I have a rare opportunity to shine His love to others who are facing the same battle but may need a sign of hope and love. We can always be a beacon even in the midst of our struggles, even in the midst of grief God can do so much more than we ever think we are capable of doing if we are willing to shine our light.

As I go through each test, consultation and treatment I am trying to keep my mind on Him and to be a beacon to someone else. Praying for their healing first of their heart and then of their body.

As you go through your day be willing to be a beacon.
