Covenant

I am so grateful that God is a covenant God. Covenant isn’t something He does, it is His very nature. This means it is impossible for Him to act outside of that nature. He will always fulfill His covenant promises and purpose. We often think of covenant as some form of contract that is based on each party meeting conditions but that is not the truth. Covenant is extended because of love. God so loved man that He has extended a path back to relationship with Him and further He paid the price to ensure we could take up His offer. The gift isn’t based on our worth, actions it is solely based on His love for us.

”Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him. Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given, you children of his servant Abraham, you descendants of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is the Lord our God. His justice is seen throughout the land. He always stands by his covenant— the commitment he made to a thousand generations.“

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭105‬:‭4‬-‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬
