Did you know...

1. Patrick was not Irish He was Welsh

2. He didn't drive the snakes from Ireland, the cold climate and rocky soil doesn't support snakes living there

3. Patrick was kidnapped as a boy and enslaved by Irish raiders

4. After many years of slavery he was able to escape and returned home.

5. After a short period home he became a Christian and was seminary trained.

6. He then heard the Lord direct him to return to Ireland and bring the gospel to the very people who enslaved him.

7. He continued to minister until his death. He taught people to worship, saved Bibles from being burnt during the dark ages and brought a nation into the kingdom of God

Never doubt that God will use a life laid down to change the world! That is why he should be celebrated today.
