In reading the passage below I was captured anew by the goodness of God and how much He loves us. Below it clearly tells us that God has forgiven us if we ask. Another version says that He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. It is so important to renew our mind with Scripture. How many of us have struggled with feeling unworthy? Do you find yourself jumping on the scales to see if you measure up as acceptable? Yet God says once we accept the gift of salvation we are made perfect forever and no longer in the process of earning forgiveness or being worthy. Once we accept His gift of salvation it is a process of learning how to carry the position as Sons and Daughters of God.
Let yourself stay off the scales and instead renew your mind to walk as His children in the earth.
“And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.”
