Raising Up A Standard

“So shall they fear The name of the Lord from west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The word Standard in Hebrew is nec and it means “something lifted up, standard, signal, signal pole, ensign, banner, sign, sail, as rallying point, ensign."

We,the church, are being lifted up as God’s standard in the earth, His banner and His rallying point. We are being raised up to draw people out of the darkness and into His marvelous light.

God gave authority to us to stand as a beacon of His love to those who are lost and hurting. We can all see that the world is being shaken and there are many who are seeking answers. We have the answer but are we willing to be bold and take our place as sons and daughters of God? He is asking us to lay down our lives for others. He is asking us to live for His purpose.

As we enter 2022 are we willing to allow Him to raise us up and move through us to help others find His love, redemption and freedom? It’s easy to say a quick yes to this but are we ready to walk it out? Are we willing to be a standard, His signal or rallying point? It will cost us and though it seems a daunting cost it is beyond a blessing that God chooses to partner with us when we are willing. The world needs answers are we ready to give them?
