What do you think when you hear that phrase? Do you look at the world around you and consider all the evil that has invaded our society and think the roar must be a response to that? Do you raise your voice in protest as if by joining the roaring the world will quiver in fear? Sometimes we try to use fear to motivate people to turn to God. Jesus never did. He used love.
The Lion is roaring but it is not in judgement of the world. The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is roaring over his church. A Lion roars to proclaim his leadership of the pride, he roars to call his pride, and he roars to warn his pride of danger. Jesus is not roaring in anger at the world He roars to call His church to arise, to see the danger and to establish his territory! The Lion is roaring to call His church to arise, to let us know that He is with us. He is roaring to call forth His church to establish His kingdom of love.
The Lion is Roaring, how will you respond? It’s easy to sit back and shake our heads or shrug our shoulders but we have the power to roar back, we have the calling to be a force in the earth, to transform hearts and lives.
“For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”
Romans 8:19-21 NKJV
If you want to see change in our world it’s starts with you. Will you heed His roar? Will you embrace the power that He paid for on the cross to change the atmosphere? Will you love like He loves? It’s time to consider our place and how we move forward to impact change. Let’s join the roar!
