One Simple Statement

“Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Science is amazing and while I do not claim to be a scientific intellectual I do love catching glimpses of God in science. We read Scripture, like the one above, but how often do we ponder it? Riddle me this… what happened after light was created by God’s voice?

Science explains that when sound is made energy (or power) is passed from one particle to the next in the medium (like air) as they collide with each other, transferring their kinetic energy.

So as I have pondered this it changes that one simple statement to something so much more profound. According to science when we speak the energy (or power) of our voice creates a reaction which impacts everything around us. In the case of Genesis 1:3 power went out from God creating light atoms. So God’s statement created energy which made photons of light which never end. So, if light never ends and it was created by the simple statement we find in Genesis 1:3 then each and every day we walk this earth we are literally physically interacting with the voice of God!

I used to think that the events of Genesis were the past but science proves that they are very much a part of today. God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) and if one simple statement like Genesis 1:3 can literally be the very foundation of each and every day we walk in the light on this earth… well maybe God has a lot more to say to us than we give Him leeway to.

When you walk outside today consider that you are literally being surrounded by light and consequently by the very voice of God. He is always with you and is always trying to show us His love and desire to have a relationship with us. Imagine the amazing amount of love He has for us of one simple statement created light for us!
